I was so excited when I first bought this. It had all the features I was looking for. First, I will state what I do like. I like the 12 cup capacity, the timer, the appearance, the coffee tastes good, and the price. What I don’t like (and my husband hates) is the dripping carafe when you pour your cup, the dripping when you try to pause mid-brew for a cup (that never tastes right-too strong), the hot plate is flaking and peeling, rusting and causing my carafe to have rust stains on the bottom. You have to pull the whole coffee maker out from the cabinet to fill with water and then it spills as you push it back. The filter allows coffee grounds to infiltrate every pot we make. We have owned it for two years and my husband has complained every morning. It is either get rid of it or him and he is a quality product so I guess the coffee maker is going to have to go. We are looking for another one, but I am cautious not to get into another sad tale. It is a shame too. Mr. Coffee should be doing a better job than this.

I have been buying Mr Coffee coffee makers for years and loved them until I purchased this design. This redesign is awful.First, the coffee keeps dripping when you remove the pot; not just as brewing, but always. The new design is strange in that the lid that opens in order to pour water in the reservoir is the entire top, therefore, so large you cannot fully open it if you have upper cabinets. You have to pull the entire pot to the edge of the counter to open the lid.Very poor design.I disliked it so much I threw it away after 3 months.

I researched several coffee makers before buying this one and could not find any that were programmable, with the “sneak a cup while brewing” feature that came close to this price. It is easy to use, easy to clean and takes up very little space. We use a re-usable filter, as I don’t like paper filters, and it fits perfectly. The previous reviewer said it drips when pouring – the only time I found that happened was when I tried to pour very fast. Easy to remedy! This coffee maker makes great tasting coffee and has been very reliable. I would recommend it to anyone.

After decades of making coffee pots, you would think that Mr. Coffee would figure out how to make a pot and lid that doesn’t drip all over the counter as you pour coffee into your cup. The part of the lid over the lip of the pouring area catches the coffee and drips it over the side and onto the counter.

The coffee doesn’t stay very warm. If you expect to brew a pot and pour a cup anytime after a half-hour you will get a luke-warm cup. Our last Mr. Coffee didn’t have this problem.

If your paper filters are not COMPLETELY tucked into the side of the basket, the water will catch the edge of the filter and fold it inward. The grounds then float over the top on the filter and into the pot. Super.

Good things? Let’s see… A white cord; easy to clean; lid doesn’t stain very quickly (like others do); brews fairly fast; quiet; timer is easy to set; not completely hideous to look at.

I would pass on this coffee maker. It’s annoying to have to clean up the coffee drips and not be able to get a hot cup of coffee after you are done with your first cup.

Only had this coffeemaker a few days, but have yet to find anything we DON’T like about it. Unlike the other reviewer, we do not have any problem with the filters folding over and causing a mess. It’s very easy to pour, with no drips or spills; and it’s easy to get a cup out before it’s done brewing. Also, we find that it brews, and keeps, the coffee hot, unlike the more expensive Braun this replaced. We like the way the carafe “locks into place” on the burner. All in all, we think this was definitely a good purchase and would recommend it.
